What is the FISS?
LaFeria San Sebastian International is a set of events that take place in dejúbilo San Cristóbal, Táchira state during lasegunda half of January in honor of the patron saint of the city, SanSebastian. Considered one of the most traditional festivities of Venezuela, is deeply rooted in the population of the city.
HISTORY
Originalmenteestas San Sebastian parties were part of the celebrations for the 20th delpatrono January actosfestivos consisted only in some music and entertainment that took place in the city PlazaMayor after the memorial service that was made inthe Cathedral. These celebrations date back to colonial times, ycontaba, above all, with the participation of the membership of the Villade San Cristobal and its surroundings.
